What is CoRTEx?
CORTEx it's the abbreviation of Comunication in Real Time over Excel or else Real Time Excel Network. It is the network of transmission and reception of data that are mounted on Microsoft Excel by the add-in or add-in Broadcaster from Élin Duxus.
How many data can be transmitted by the Broadcaster?
Does not exist a limit for receiving or sending data through the CoRTEx. The limit for total data traffic is, in truth, the speed of answering updates. If is there many data to be updated, the system performance will decrease. The amount of data it's function of this performance. That is, from the point where the performance becomes unsatisfactory, the data limit was reached.
What means the message "!BD FAILURE!"?
This message appears when any Broadcaser operation fails or an unexpected error occurs, however the problem automatically will be fixed and the operation which failed is restarted.
Exists problem of security in the computer with the establishment of the Real Time Excel network in the computers of a network?
Broadcaster establish the CoRTEx through specific and proprietary from Élin Duxus, not opening no communication port that is not strict necessary for the network works. The information received and transmitted for these communication ports are verified by the system, hindering its improper use.
Does Broadcaster works outside of a LAN (Local Area Network)?
Yes!
However the computers must be connected to the same VPN (Virtual Private Network).
Why Broadcaster have limitations in Excel 97?
Old Excel versions, like Excel 97, does not have all necessary tools to the system working. Excel 97 does not have an automatic function to force the receiving and sending functions registration. So, it is necessary force this regsitration through a recalc of these functions manually or through the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT +ALT +F9. This registration just is necessary, however, when a file that contain the receiving and sending functions is opened.
Exist a executable file whith the system. For what it serves and what it do?
This file is responsible for the establishment of the Real Time Excel Network by Broadcaster. It does not have to be modified and does not have necessity to execute it separately. The system execute and finish its routines.
Why some data updates or visual effect can be lost?
The Excel have some status which it reject any modification. During this status, all the Excel functions are blocked. It is not a system characteristic, its from Excel. In example, when the user is editing a cell or formula, the Excel is in editing status. Pratically, must prevent this status while connected to CoRTEx. We advise to disconnect temporary when the user edit the formulas or other operations that will block the normal function works.
